The Inspector on Duty will be available for phytosanitary inspections and urgent pesticide matters on Friday, November 28 from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. Call 245-8195 to contact the Inspector on Duty.
For all other business, call 637-5344 and leave a message on extension 10. Your call will be answered on Monday, December 1 or sooner depending on the priority of the matter. There will be no services available on Thursday, November 27.
The County Agricultural Commissioner is charged with the protection and promotion of California’s agriculture, the protection of the environment as well as the protection of the public’s health and safety. In addition, the Agricultural Commissioner is also the County Sealer of Weights and Measures, which involves the protection of consumers and industry through the regulation of all weighing and measuring devices used in commercial transactions. These goals are accomplished by the various programs outlined below:
