Subject: PUBLIC REVIEW PROCESS FOR THE 2010/11 OFF-HIGHWAY VEHICLE GRANTS FOR SAN BENITO COUNTY
San Benito County is seeking public comments on its proposals for the 2010/2011 California Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Grant program. The grants provide for restoration planning in the San Benito River due to unauthorized off-highway vehicle trespass and law enforcement in the river area and state and federal lands in the County.
According to state requirements, the community may provide feedback and comment on the grant proposals during the public review period, March 8 through April 4, 2011. This period provides an opportunity for the public to review the preliminary applications submitted to the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division for consideration during the current grant cycle. To review the grant applications go to: http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/ and click on the link to review the preliminary applications.
Final applications are due to the State of California on May 2, 2011.
The public may provide comment to both the applicant (contact information below) and the OHMVR Division by emailing the contact person listed on the preliminary application and copying the OHMVR Division at: OHVinfo@parks.ca.gov.
