Copies of official reports can be obtained at the Sheriff’s Office by request. Requests for copies of reports can be done by phone, mail or in person, by filling out the Application for Release of Information form. This form is available in the lobby of our main San Benito Sheriff’s Office office, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Application for Release of Information

The following reports are available upon request:

• Crime Reports
• Vehicle Accident Reports
• Coroner Reports

Cost for any of the above reports varies depending on the amount of pages. The normal charge is $1 for the first page and .50 cents for each additional page. One Coroner report is available to a family member free of charge. Suspects are exempt from requesting copies of reports and are referred to the District Attorney’s Office.
